The Beach

 

Only 50m away, there is a beach protected from the wind with a privileged view of the Vila Franca Islet. It has parking and changing rooms. In front of the sand there is a rock in the sea with a ladder, which serves as a diving spot to the sea.

The Project

​

We are descendants of islanders and have always spent our holidays in São Miguel.

Over the years we have always wanted to have our refuge on the green island. In 2018 when we found an old house, we realized that the opportunity had arrived.

The project started in early 2019 with all the works done by local professionals, without the intervention of machines. In 2021 we started renovating another house both sharing a unique garden with a beautiful ocean view. These renovations privileged local materials such as Cryptomeria wood and Basalt stone.

GUAVA has the comfort of modern homes enhanced by local materials and details.
